A Study on Urban Ethnic Segmentation in Kabul City, Afghanistan

The Pashtun, Tajik, and Hazara ethnic groups, divided into three zones, make up most of the segments in Kabul, capital Afghanistan. However, each settlement is subdivided smaller geographical communities. In this research, we want to validate existence these communities how are valuable residents Kabul city. We also aimed analyze what facilities community shares why it crucial consider while redeveloping informal settlements did a literature review on segmentation, chose case study district 13 interviewed head community, distributed socio-economic questionnaires made by Ministry urban development land Afghanistan streets determine ethnicities subdivided. Ethnicities sub-ethnic based their migrated rural districts. People live together because communal identity known as Qawm. Each mosque, redevelop areas, they be relocated near current ethnicity. Moreover, ethnicity significant factor choosing where Kabul. Hence, government policymaker must importance settlements.

A prevalence survey in Kabul City showed that 2.7% and 21.9% of persons have active leishmaniasis lesions or scars, respectively. Incidence of disease was estimated to be 2.9% (29 cases/1,000 persons per year; 95% confidence interval 0.018 to 0.031).
